In-App Messaging is a powerful set of features that allows you to customize your customers' experience. By setting up In-App messaging for your customers, you can add more info to your age gate, inform your customers of tax on their purchases, or upload a custom membership agreement.
In-App Messaging Setup
To set up In-App Messaging, click on the circle icon in the top right and select Preferences from the drop-down.
After that, click on the Functionality tab and the page will auto scroll for you. It will bring you to the In-App Messaging portion of your Preferences.
Request ID Upload - This is a required government ID upload that you can require for all orders or delivery orders only. At this time, there are no additional options.
Age Gate: Additional Info - You can add custom text to give more info on the Age Gate popup that customers see when they first visit your menu. This is used to give specific info that you feel your customers need before viewing the menu. Example: "All deliveries require state ID and you must be 21 years of age."
Membership Agreement - Upload your membership agreement here. This allows you to show a membership agreement to all customers using online ordering for the first time.
Request All Users to Accept New Agreement - Use the Reset User Membership Agreements button to force your customers to be shown the membership agreement if necessary. This is especially useful if you update the agreement.
Recreational Tax Rate - Set your tax rate here by percentage. This will apply to the final total of orders placed in the cart. If no tax rate is set, none will be applied to the final total.
Medical Tax Rate - Set your tax rate here by percentage. This will apply to the final total of Orders placed in the cart. If no tax rate is set, none will be applied to the final total.
Taxation Message - Choose between No message, Taxes not included, All taxes included and Not all prices include tax. This appears next to the tax section on the final total.
Membership Discount Message - Choose between No message, Members discounts will be applied in-store and Pricing shown reflects membership-only discounts. This appears below the final total and will be related to a membership program you wish to use with your customers. Choose the appropriate message or leave on No Message.
Always be sure to select the nearest SAVE button after changing any settings within your Baker Kitchen.
