Sending a test message is a great way to see how your text will look ahead of time. We recommend sending a test message to yourself (or another team member) before messaging your entire customer base. This helps to ensure that the message looks how you want it to.
Go to the Connect tab on the left-hand side of your Kitchen. Write your message in the box under SMS CUSTOMERS.
Don't click Send SMS; that will message your entire contact list. Once the message is ready, scroll down past Send SMS. Beneath the filters on the right-hand side of the page there is a Send Test field.
Enter the phone number you'd like to send your message to (just numbers, no other characters) and click SEND TEST. That phone number should receive your message within a minute or two, looking exactly as it would if you had sent it to your contacts.
